Jolene's, Original Dolly Parton Pop-Up Bar.
Because of the success of “Brother Werewolf”, my bosses allowed me to create my second original pop-up bar concept, “Jolene’s”; a Dolly Parton themed bar. Knoxville does a yearly event called “Dollyfest”, on Brother Wolf’s street. This festival celebrates all things Dolly with live performances, art shows, and a craft festival featuring local entrepreneurs. I wanted to capitalize on this preexisting event by transforming our bar into a pink, floral space featuring music by the Queens of country. This graphic design and set design contrasted Brother Werewolf’s dark, gothic horror art with bright pink, feminine tones complimented by butterflies and flowers. Again, I worked closely with a local graphic designer and our social media team at SouthMade marketing to achieve this vision. Because of the success of Brother Werewolf, I incorporated branded napkins, coasters, and merchandise into this pop up.
